Shalom and welcome to the web site of the Nottingham Hebrew Congregation, a modern orthodox community located in the heart of the East Midlands.

There has been a Jewish community in Nottingham for over 800 years and it is still a warm and friendly community today. The synagogue provides religious, educational and social programmes for all, integrating with all the local religious and welfare groups.

Nottingham is a modern vibrant city, famous not only for Robin Hood, D H Lawrence, Lord Byron and Brian Clough but also for the splendid theatres and shops. The synagogue is an historic grade 2 listed building dating back to 1854 which over recent years has been maintained to a high standard for the enjoyment of the congregation and visitors.
